The BioComp® warranty policy for dental systems

BioComp Industries bv has been designing dental implant systems since 1992. The systems are developed and manufactured in the Netherlands based on scientific research. The program consists of implants, secondary and tertiary components, and instruments. BioComp devotes the utmost care to design, materials, processes, and deliveries. All phases are carefully monitored.

We are proud of our program and stand behind its quality. On this basis, BioComp offers, in addition to the statutory warranty, an additional warranty policy for the BioComp dental implant systems. This document informs you about that policy.

Should one of our products, despite our careful monitoring, not meet your expectations, we would greatly appreciate it if you contact us, even if your request falls outside the warranty or goodwill policy. Working together and communicating with you is essential to BioComp. Your user experiences allow us to continue safeguarding and improving the quality of our products. This benefits not only us, but also you as the treating professional and your (future) patient.

BioComp has a digital procedure for submitting warranty claims. With this we aim for a faster and less error-prone processing procedure. We ask for special attention to providing all information in your claim in full, and to anonymizing patient data.

User manuals and package inserts provide more information on how to use the products correctly. You can find these on the service page.

The warranty claim procedure has been correctly followed:

  • The claim was submitted within 30 days of discovery;

  • The claim carries its own reference and has been anonymized, meaning that patient personal data such as name, date of birth, or national ID number have been removed;

  • The replacement product is used during a follow-up treatment of the patient concerned.

Step-by-step plan for your warranty claim

  1. Complete the warranty claim and send in the defective product
    Choose the correct online warranty form. Complete the form as fully as possible. With the patient’s privacy in mind, make sure any photos you send are anonymized. After digitally submitting the form, you will receive a copy of your claim by email. Print that form and send it, together with the sterilized products from the claim, within 7 days to:
    BioComp Dental, Antwoordnummer 10054, 5260 VB Vught (THE NETHERLANDS).
  2. BioComp starts the procedure
    Your claim is taken into processing once both the form and the product have been received by BioComp within 7 days of completing the digital form.
  3. Investigation and replacement product
    BioComp investigates your claim. Ahead of the outcome, you may, if desired, already order a new product. To do so, contact our internal sales department by phone at +31 (0)73 684 72 00. Depending on the investigation, you will or will not receive reimbursement for this product.
  4. Resolution by BioComp
    You will receive a message from BioComp with the outcome of the investigation and the further resolution. If desired, we will also provide technical feedback. If your warranty claim falls within our warranty or goodwill policy, you will receive reimbursement for the replacement product (from point 3).
  5. Inclusion in the BioComp database
    BioComp stores warranty claims in a database to improve products and/or services.

General provisions

This warranty policy replaces earlier versions and is the sole warranty of BioComp Industries bv alongside the provisions in the General Terms and Conditions. BioComp may change or terminate the warranty policy at any time. Such a change or termination has no effect on products placed prior to the date of the change or termination.

This policy is subject to the provisions of articles 1020 through 1073 of the Dutch Code of Civil Procedure.

We ask you to sterilize the product before sending it. Non-sterilized implants will not be processed, as these may pose a hazard to BioComp staff.

Shipping costs for the items in your warranty claim are covered by BioComp.

For certain claims, BioComp engages external experts. This may cause the resolution of your claim to take somewhat longer. In that case, we will inform you and provide an indication of the revised resolution timeline.

If you would like a different type of product as a replacement for the product for which you are submitting your warranty claim, you can report this by phone at +31 (0)73 684 72 00. If this product is priced higher than the original product, BioComp will charge the price difference.

If a claim is declared inadmissible by BioComp, you will be notified of this in writing within 21 working days.

BioComp and the treating professional are responsible for strict confidentiality of the information they receive during the handling of a claim.

Patient data will be fully anonymized by both parties.

Submitted claims are included by BioComp in the warranty database. This allows BioComp to improve its products, services, and processes, and ensures active monitoring of their performance.
