AHEAD CranioFacial Specific Implant System
With AHEAD Implant, BioComp Industries offers a specialized implant system for CranioFacial applications. The system is designed exclusively for the reconstruction of the ear, nose and eye region after severe trauma or oncological consequences.
AHEAD Implant is a CranioFacial implant system for reconstructive treatments with bone anchored facial prosthesis. The system was created through close collaboration with surgeons and anaplastologists.
BioComp has over 30 years of experience in the development of implants with good osseointegration. To accelerate this process, all AHEAD implants are blasted and provided with a H.A.V.D. coating. In addition to this osseointegration, the system is characterized by good skin management. By leaving the integrated percutaneous abutment in place, the skin passageway is not unnecessarily disrupted.
The system provides numerous options for physicians to achieve optimal results for each scenario. With AHEAD Implant, BioComp offers a full range of the best CranioFacial products, surgical instruments, expertise, protocols and training.

Skin passage
By leaving the percutaneous abutment in place the soft tissue is not unnecessarily disturbed. The percutaneous abutment can also be replaced with an abutment with a different length or a console abutment.
Trauma and oncology as an indication
The AHEAD Implant system has a proven CranioFacial application for trauma and oncology resection rehabilitation. In scenarios where reconstructive treatment is not an option, bone anchored facial prosthesis appear to be the gold standard for medical professionals.
